SABELLAR is a mixture of what was before and what is now. Here you will find collectable antique treasures carefully selected from a number of European antique markets and locally crafted products from small businesses of which many are family run.

The island of Mallorca is one of SABELLAR’s main sources of inspiration and it is right there that we find the origin of its name. SABELLAR (or rather s’abellar) means apiary or place of bees in Majorcan. Our family originates from an area inland on the island which bears the same name. In line with the careful pace of nature itself, we inherited its traditions, songs, recipes and love. As does the honeybee itself, we scour the island in search of much of what we offer in our collection. 

SABELLAR is a project which praises beauty. We do not base our findings on pure practicality. Our intention is to offer products which provoke a feeling of happiness. Our inventory is made up of the essence of love at first sight. Those creations we buy for our home and are unable to live without.

SABELLAR es una mezcla del hoy y del ayer. Aquí encontrarás tesoros que provienen de los mercados de antigüedades de toda Europa, así como las creaciones artesanas de pequeños negocios, muchos familiares y en su mayoría de Mallorca.

La isla de Mallorca es una de las principales fuentes de inspiración de SABELLAR, y de allí viene su nombre. SABELLAR (o más bien s’abellar) significa en mallorquín colmenar o lugar donde hay muchas abejas. De una zona del mismo nombre, en el interior, es originaria parte de nuestra familia, de la que hemos heredado costumbres, canciones, recetas y el amor a lo hecho despacio, siguiendo los tiempos que marca la naturaleza. En esta isla, y como las abejas, buscamos gran parte de lo que aquí te ofrecemos.

SABELLAR es un proyecto que ensalza la belleza. Nuestro objetivo no es proponerte cosas esencialmente prácticas o necesarias, sino productos que nos hagan más felices. Todos ellos forman parte de nuestro inventario de “flechazos”, de aquellas objetos que un día compramos para nuestra casa y sin los que ya no podemos vivir.
